I am very sleep deprived some days, but not because of choice. It goes with the territory when you’re a mom of young children. Oh how I miss the days of staying up for something fun, like a night out!
I found this article today about 8 serious ways sleep deprivation can affect your health. Besides looking old and being cranky, did you know not sleeping enough can actually increase your risk of cancer?
I am definitely going to listen to these warnings and try to go to bed a little earlier. This way if my 19 month-old wakes up in the middle of the night, I can still maybe get in 8 hours as experts suggest.
